President's Message
I am almost saddened as I write what will be my last article as president of APWC. Reflecting on the year, I am honored to have served as a leader for this group. I say "a leader" because the remarkable things accomplished by this group are because of many amazing leaders. My board has been cooperative and supportive in every way; they are an inspiring group of talented, dedicated ladies. Thanks to all of you for a year I will always remember with a smile.
It is "being together" that makes this group wonderful. Whether we are together in activity groups, working on our gala, or volunteering at our charity, it is a way to meet others and grow relationships that help to keep us happy. Women need their girlfriends. Whether your APWC grilfriends are friends for life or only for a short time, they make our time here more enjoyable.
I wish to leave you with a challenge for the coming year: keep your eyes and ears open for newcomers. Invite them to your activity group over the summer; invite them to a luncheon. Treat them like your new best friend; after all, they might become exactly that!
